I’ve been lucky to have lived around the world. I get my sense of adventure from my Nepali nanny who left home at a young age. She raised me in India and later immigrated with us to America in the late 70s.  Her stories of Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary filled me with big dreams.  While conquering Everest, or mountaineering for that matter, has never entered my mind, her romantic ideals shape my worldview. She's a constant reminder that "why not" is a great place to start.

Ultimately this has led me down an entrepreneurial path. It’s been a transformative journey that has grown my faith, made me more empathetic, and raised my curiosity about people, culture, and design. In addition to my wife and daughter, it teaches me something new every day.

Thanks for indulging me.  Let's talk soon.

Steve

I’m the second of four brothers within five years of each other. The church across the street from our house had a big yard, so our place was the hangout for friends. We’ve all left the old neighborhood, but the “Churchyard” gang reunites frequently. You can imagine the stories. Shared experiences have powered lifelong relationships. They’ve taught me the value of social capital, and greatly influenced my life choices.

In retrospect who I know has given me lots of opportunity, but always focusing on doing what’s best for them has served me well long-term. Along with my wife’s support, it’s given me the confidence to leap, to chase my entrepreneurial dream. It’s a lesson we want to show our young children.

I hope we have a chance to meet soon.
